You’d agree with me that the most incredible thing about an origami project is that you need only one thing: paper. Paper can be used to fold and sculpt intricate designs of different patterns and textures to suit your style.

Now, depending on the type of design you are making, you might sometimes require a pencil, a pair of scissors and a glue stick.

The world of origami is filled and packed with marvelous designs that can spruce up your home. Here are some designs that you can easily incorporate into your home décor:

Wall origami Decorations

Materials You Will Need:

  • Glue
  • Scissors

How to Make:

  • Draw a leaf pattern on the surface of the origami paper

  • Attach the paper to a blank wall surface

Origami Flower Vases

Materials You Will Need:

  • Origami Paper
  • Cutter

How to Make:

  • Fold the paper four times to produce 16 pieces and then cut. This will be the module, so create as many as you can.
  • To make a small vase, you will need 216 modules, so make as much as possible.
  • If there are many modules, you can start compiling them all together.
  • Place the modules by inserting the wings alternately up and down until they are arranged in 2 layers, including 18 pairs of modules each.
  • Now, if you have ten layers, try to arrange the last two layers, namely the 11th and the 12th.
  • Then, layer in the 11th one and arrange the modules in reverse. But, make sure that the 12th layer is rearranged as in the 10th and previous layers.

Origami Photo Frames

Materials You Will Need:

  • Color paper
  • Photo
  • glue
  • Small clips

How to Make:

  • Take the paper and fold the four corners towards the center. If your paper has one color side only then that side should be the one facing down.
  • Turn the paper over and fold the corners to the center again.
  • Turn the paper over again and then fold the four corners outward.
  • Glue three of the four sides as the fourth side will act as a support for the frame.
  • Remember, if the paper is too thin, you can attach paper clips to it.

Origami Curtains

Materials You Will Need:

  • Color origami paper
  • Rope
  • scissors and glue

How to make:

  • Measure the curtain you will make and try to personalize it as much as possible to make it according to your taste.
  • Draw a pattern line on the origami paper.
  • Cut the paper according to the previously made pattern lines.
  • Attach it on the sides to make it look more incredible.
